Brown Paper Box 2-night cabaret kicks off new season, April 7 and 8

April 1, 2017

Brown Paper Box Co. is thrilled to announce our upcoming cabaret event to kick off their 2017/2018 season. Hosted by company member Kristi Szczepanek*, Positively Present: An Uplifting Cabaret will feature performances from BPBCo. company members and friends, as well as past (and present!) show participants.

In the past couple of months, curator and host Kristi has asked what it takes for us to keep positive and focused on the present moment in the face of adversity. “The current political climate is the most obvious source, but we are all living rich lives that are much more than politics. How do we balance all of this and keep ourselves sane in the process?” Positively Present: An Uplifting Cabaret will feature songs and stories of people trying to do just that on April 7 and 8 at Mary’s Attic above Hamburger Mary’s in Andersonville.

This event will feature Shalita Cake, Jeff Award winner Diego Colón, Kamille Dawkins, M. William Panek*, Deanalís Resto, Anna Schutz*, Matt Sergot*, Nick Shoda*, Brittany Stock, & Travis Austin Wright, with musical direction by Ken Jones and techical support from Justin Harner* and David Lipschutz*. Additional information can be found on www.BrownPaperBox.org. Tickets are on sale now.
