There’s an implied deal between publicists of professional entertainment, who work for the shows’ producers, and the media members privileged enough to cover these productions. In exchange for advance information and invitations with complimentary tickets, we promise to write about the production and share what we write with our readers.
This section is our community blog. It's set up for sharing thoughts, ideas, links, ruminations, suggestions and opinions about all things musical theatre and is open to all participants and patrons of the community who come to this site. To contribute a post of any length, please type "Composition Contribution" in the subject line and send it via email to Producer@ChicagolandMusicalTheatre.com. Do include your name and contact information so we may verify authorship, and feel free to include a photo or piece of art to accompany your writing. Contributors are encouraged toward positivity and thoughtfulness, and ChicagolandMusicalTheatre's editors have final say in what's published here. Submissions to this section give ChciagolandMusicalTheatre.com the right to publish the writing.
Kicking off year three with a pre-opening night extension of a proven hit bodes well for this prediction’s accuracy. This is the place to share stories, ideas, questions, wisdom, challenges among those who are passionate about this genre. If you’re writing more than a paragraph on Facebook, then share it here, too. This year, more than 20,000 people will visit this site. Use the platform.
