Chicagoland favorite Heidi Kettenring sings the songs of Karen Carpenter at Marriott, March 17

Artists Lounge Live presents WE’VE ONLY JUST BEGUN, HEIDI KETTENRING SINGS KAREN CARPENTER on March 17, at Marriott Theatre, 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire, IL, 60069.

Chicago’s favorite leading lady Heidi Kettenring lends her signature warmth to the beloved hits of the legendary Karen Carpenter. Award-winner Kettenring’s many memorable star turns include Broadway in Chicago’s WICKED; THE KING AND I, FUNNY GIRL, and OLIVER!. A storyteller sure to stir the heart, Kettenring tenderly chronicles Carpenter’s troubles and triumphs with a familiar angelic radiance. Around the Town Chicago exclaims, “Five stars: An extraordinary performance… You do not want to miss an evening like this.” Songs include, “Close To You,” “Superstar,” and “Rainbow Connection.”

Heidi Kettenring is best known for playing Nessarose in the Broadway in Chicago company of the blockbuster musical WICKED. National Tour credits include: DISNEY’S BEAUTY & THE BEAST (Belle). Other standout performances nationwide include: THE KING AND I (Anna), ANNIE GET YOUR GUN (Annie Oakley), OLIVER! (Nancy), CATS (Grizabella), MY FAIR LADY (Eliza), LES MISERABLES (Fantine), LITTLE WOMEN (Jo March), SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS (Milly), GUYS AND DOLLS (Adelaide), HAIRSPRAY (Penny), THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR (Mistress Ford), TUG OF WAR (Joan la Pucelle, et al) THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK (Mrs. van Daan), HERO (Jane, World Premiere), SHE LOVES ME (Ilona), APPLAUSE (Margo Channing), and FUNNY GIRL (Fanny Brice). Heidi is married to actor David Girolmo.

Artists Lounge Live is a dynamic concert series featuring popular music of yesterday performed by tremendous talent of today. Rising stars of stage and screen shine in heartfelt evenings of story and song. Dedicated to serving audiences across the nation, Artists Lounge Live brings acts from America’s entertainment capitals to communities of all sizes. Artists Lounge Live is created by performer/producer Michael Ingersoll. A favorite of PBS audiences, Ingersoll toured the country performing with his retro-rock vocal group Under the Streetlamp, whose television concert specials air in millions of homes nationwide. He is also known for starring as Nick Massi of the Four Seasons in JERSEY BOYS for the original Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles companies. Tickets are priced at $50.00. Marriott Theatre subscribers receive a 20% discount.
