Mark your calendar for a celebration of an all-Gershwin evening beginning with festive preconcert cocktails, savories, and an enticing silent auction in Grainger Ballroom. A post-concert celebration in Grainger Ballroom will cap off the evening with live entertainment with jazz singer Tammy McCann, desserts, nightcaps, and a visit by conductor Bramwell Tovey. This is a can’t-be-missed night!
Conducted by Bramwell Tovey, Grammy award-winning Music Director of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the concert will include the exuberant An American in Paris, and selections from Strike up the Band and Porgy and Bess. Tovey, revered internationally for his charismatic and witty commentary, conducts and plays piano in Gershwin’s popular Rhapsody in Blue.
