Chicago, IL – Huggable Riot is proud to announce the opening of its first all-female sketch revue, There’s Something About Bloody Mary, on Wednesday, October 5 at The Annoyance Theatre and Bar in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.
A sharp, witty revue that blends horror movie tropes with a dangerous and funny take on the female experience, There’s Something About Bloody Mary is directed by Amy Anderson, head written by Dana Angelo, and comprised of original sketches from cast members Lexi Alioto, Brittany Flynn, Allison Kochanski, Adrienne Peters, Megan Stalter, and Lily Staski. From Amazons inventing the first bra to playing a game of Dracula or Date Rapist to a fourth-wall breaking theater haunting, There’s Something About Bloody Mary is a fun departure from previous Huggable Riot revues and promises a killer bloody epilogue!
“These women are easily the most passionate cast we have ever had and it shows in how darkly ludicrous this revue becomes,” says Huggable Riot Founder and Producer Amy Anderson. “They really attack some serious and varied subject matter but always with a sense of lunacy. It really gives the audience the feeling that anything could happen.”
