Chicago – Huggable Riot is excited to announce the opening of its first all-musical revue, “Panic! at the Honky Tonk”, on Wednesday, September 6 at The Annoyance Theatre and Bar in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.
This Revue marks the first all-musical production for comedy group Huggable Riot. Featuring a collection of genuine and funny songs written by a diverse ensemble, “Panic! at the Honkey Tonk” is a western cabaret of numbers that tend to explore the darker, funnier sides of human vulnerability through songs like “The Vibrator Duet” and “All My Ex-Boyfriends are Dead.” A stellar cast of first time Huggable Riot ensemble members boasts impressive vocal talent along with an ability to deliver poignant and playful songs with their hearts on their sleeve that is both touching and empowering.
“Panic! at the Honky Tonk” is written and performed by Lea Ciastko, Elisabeth Del Toro, Ian Alexander, Nottonson Lindsay, Kerry Sheridan, Destiny Strothers, and Chelsea Tobey and is directed by Joe McDaniel and Jennifer Allman. “We are so thrilled our first ever all-musical revue has turned out as original and interesting as the incredible performers that created it,” says Huggable Riot producer/founder Amy Anderson. “This show is a great example of how Huggable Riot continually finds new ways to create and keep learning from each other.”
