Metropolis Performing Arts Centre sets annual fundraiser at Arlington Park, April 28

Arlington Heights, IL– Metropolis Performing Arts Centre’s Annual Gala Fundraiser is set for April 28, 2018, at Arlington International Racecourse.

Join us for our signature fundraising event, the Metropolis Gala, Night of the Stars, at a new venue: Arlington International Racecourse. The evening begins with open bar, hors d’oeuvres and fabulous items up for bid in our silent auction. Then enjoy special performances by Michael and Angela Ingersoll, School of the Performing Arts faculty and students, the cast of Avenue Q, dinner and dessert. The evening also includes a live auction, a custom jewelry raffle provided by Keswick Jewelers, a Split-the-Pot raffle, a Fund-A-Cause paddle raise supporting the Stories in Action! Series, and concludes with a lively after party featuring DJ Player2.

Celebrity emcee for the evening is Howard Sudberry, Senior Director of Marketing & Communications, Arlington International Racecourse. Celebrity auctioneers and headliners are Michael and Angela Ingersoll. Supporting players are music & drama students from Metropolis School of the Performing Arts. Featured entertainers are the Metropolis cast of Avenue Q. Cameo appearance by Live Art International performance artist Brendan Cooney.

Enter the Split-the-Pot raffle for a chance to win a cash prize. Split-the-Pot raffle tickets are $50 each, winner must be present to win. Enter the jewelry raffle for a chance to win custom jewelry, designed and donated by Keswick Jewelers. Jewelry raffle tickets are $25 each, winner must be present to win.

Metropolis’ Gala is Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 5:00pm – Midnight at Arlington International Racecourse, located at 2200 W Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights, IL. Tickets start at $130 person and include hors d’oeuvres, open bar and dinner – black tie suggested. Ticket sales alone do not cover the costs of operating a thriving performing arts centre. Metropolis special events, like the Gala, raise funds to help keep ticket prices affordable and tuition costs low in the performing arts school, and also supports Metropolis’ Community Engagement programs that have brought the arts to children and those with special needs across Chicagoland.
