Metropolis School of the Performing Arts entertains audiences with ‘Part of Your World: The Music of Alan Menken’

Arlington Heights, IL – Students and faculty of Metropolis School of the Performing Arts (SOPA) entertain audiences with Part of Your World: The Music of Alan Menken at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre April 30, 2017.

Metropolis School of the Performing Arts students along with Metropolis Voice Faculty Tiffany Gates and Nathan W. Brown sing and dance on the Metropolis stage for a tribute to the music of Oscar, Grammy and Tony award winning composer Alan Menken. Enjoy songs from popular musicals written by Alan Menken for stage and screen, including The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Newsies, Little Shop of Horrors, Pocahontas, Hercules, Sister Act, Tangled, and more.

Part of Your World: The Music of Alan Menken will perform Sunday, April 30 at 7 P.M. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students, and can be purchased online at MetropolisArts.com or by calling the Box Office at 847.577.2121.

Part of Your World: The Music of Alan Menken is a part of the School of the Performing Arts Series at Metropolis, a series that showcases students’ work with performances on the Metropolis stage. More School of the Performing Arts performances this season include Pinocchio!, drama and dance showcases and music concerts and recitals.

Metropolis is located in the heart of Chicago’s northwest suburbs in downtown Arlington Heights at the intersection of Campbell and Vail Avenue (111 West Campbell Street).
