Writers Theatre Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma announce an additional two weeks of performances of the world premiere musical Days Like Today.
The production is inspired by the plays of Charles L. Mee with music and lyrics by Alan Schmuckler and book by Laura Eason, directed by Halberstam with music direction by Doug Peck and choreography by Tommy Rapley. It began performances May 6 and will now run through July 27 at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe.
The cast features Emily Berman (Tessa), Susie McMonagle (Maria), Will Mobley (James), Jeff Parker (Francois), Stephen Schellhardt (Edmund), Jonathan Weir (Frank), and Jarrod Zimmerman (Arnaud).
The design team includes: Scott Bradley (scenic designer), Jenny Mannis (costume designer), Jesse Klug (lighting Designer), Palmer Jenkins (sound designer) and Julie Eberhardt (props designer). David Castellanos is the stage manager.

Days Like Today is the final production to be performed in the current facility on Tudor Court. Groundbreaking for the new theater center, designed by Chicago’s Studio Gang Architects, led by principal Jeanne Gang, is set for fall 2014.
